Visualizing.org Data Challenge

Our team won the competition in NYC. We had an unexpected and simple result that leverage the human aspects of graphic design and energy emissions.

This was our challenge:

You can use any tool(s) you want to prepare your team’s data visualization. Your entry can be uploaded as any type of digital format. The jury will be looking for the best use of data and design to make sense of a complex world issue.

We were given lots of data but to us they were all abstract numbers that were relative to one set of data. Here’s what we came up with:
